Put away your SLRs: here's a pinhole camera made out of wood Posted on 2 August 2013 Put your fancy SLR away for a second, grab a houndstooth jacket and jump on your single-speed bicycle, because this is the most hipster thing you’re going to see all day. The thing is, it’s also quite awesome. It’s a pinhole camera made out of wood (and held together by magnets) by Slovenian woodworker Elvis Halilovi?. He has been making lensless pinhole cameras for over seven years under the brand ONDU and they just keep getting cooler. The lensless film cameras are completely manual, relying on direct exposure of light to film. They come in six different dimensions and film sizes, from the more common Leica 135 format to a 4? x 5? film holder camera. If you’re wondering what the photo quality is like, take a look at the selection below. The photos you can take with them are just as beautiful and the little woodies that made them. Here’s a little demo of how Elvis goes about making them. I can smell the sawdust from here. Woodwork for the win. For more info check out ONDU online or visit ONDU on Facebook and Twitter.
