Tested: Galileo Motrr Robotic Dock Posted on 20 April 2015 A seriously cool gadget for serious iPhoneography nerds: meet the Galileo Motrr Robotic Dock. Galileo Motrr Robotic Dock R1 820, singerphoto.co.za How it works This is a motorized mount for your smartphone that rotates and pans for stable panoramics, interesting time-lapses and 360-degree images. Mōtrr Galileo Time Lapse Demo from Steve Tsuida on Vimeo. Pros Interchangeable rubber inserts for different iPhone sizes. Captures unusual angles and stable time-lapses. Rechargeable internal battery. Can connect it to a tripod for height. Grasps the phone tightly. Cons Not easy to setup. I had to resort to the internet after reading instructions to figure it out. You have to buy the apps at extra cost to do anything with it, which sucks. iOS only. Verdict An awesome gadget for time-lapses if you’re willing to splurge.
