Outdoor emergency gear: Holts Tyreweld emergency puncture kit Posted on 10 April 2011 Essentials for your adventure kit Holts Tyreweld is a must-have emergency puncture kit. Keep it in your boot (not the cubbyhole) and use it as a get-you-home-fix for slow tyre leaks for tube or tubeless tyres. It’s perfect if there’s no spare, if the roads aren’t suitable for it or if you couldn’t be bothered to change tyres. Just remove the puncture object, deflate the tyre, screw the connection tube to the valve and empty the contents (said to inflate the tyre to around 1,8 kPa). Then drive away immediately to allow Tyreweld to spread. Once home, get the tyre permanently repaired or replaced. Available from most hardware stores countrywide.
