The Shelf Strap – pure genius in a camping shower accessory Posted on 28 May 2012 Tags:camping, travel Soggy jocks no more You know how steamy and damp the ablution block in any busy campsite can get, even the really nice ones. We’ve all been there, so you’ll surely see the benefit of this neat and simple camping shower solution. The Shelf Strap idea was conceived with these ‘marsh-like’ conditions in mind but Karl the inventor, reckons there’s more to it than that. It is also useful on hiking trails, divers dig it and it proves practical at the beach, sports events or even as a washing line… The South African-made Shelf Strap has been around for a while. In fact this simple shower solution won best gadget at the Getaway Show in 2011 when it was launched. I saw it at the Cape Getaway Show again this year and thought a quick and dirty ‘handheld production’ video demo was in order to show it off the multi-hook, webbing strap’s ingenuity. They’re sold two to a pack and cost R129.99 including postage. Order them from www.practikarl.co.za.
