Easy Chicken Liver Recipe

Chicken liver is an adaptable dish item that’s great for many types of dishes, making it ideal for when you travel. You could enjoy it with peri-peri sauce, bacon, mushrooms, cream cheese, and more. While there are various recipes, here’s an easy peri-peri chicken liver recipe you can follow.

Easy Chicken Liver Recipe

This recipe serves four, but you can adjust it to suit fewer people.

Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken livers cleaned and trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 3-4 tablespoons of peri-peri sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves crushed
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Half-cup of cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley to serve
  • Crusty bread to serve

Cooking Method

  1.  Melt the butter in a hot skillet/frying pan and fry the chicken livers until golden brown on both sides.
  2. Allow the garlic and peri-peri sauce to cook for another minute, until fragrant, before adding the lemon juice and cream.
  3. Allow to simmer for 5-7 minutes after seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Serve alongside crusty bread.
