Durbanville Wine Valley to host Wine on the Square dorpfees Posted on 3 November 2022 All roads lead to Durbanville on Saturday, 5 and Sunday, 6 November for the Wine on the Square – Wine & Food Festival. Come experience the magic of the Durbanville Wine Valley in one convenient location. On 5 and 6 November, The Village Square in Durbanville will be hosting the region’s first ever Wine on the Square dorpsfees. With 13 wineries from the Durbanville region and nine Village Square restaurants participating in the event, it’s bound to be a feast for the senses. Adding to this, an array of local musicians are set to keep the atmosphere festive with foot-tapping live performances throughout the weekend. Visitors can look forward to tasting and purchasing wines by De Grendel, Diemersdal, D’Aria, Canto, Bloemendal, Altydgedacht, Durbanville Hills, Groot Phesantekraal, Klein Roosboom, Maastricht, Meerendal, Nitida, and Signal Gun. Each winery will have a representative present to tell the stories behind the wines and share some insights into the wine-making processes. The Village Square eateries will be joining in the festivities by serving small plates of their signature dishes and delicacies. With Bootlegger Coffee Co, The Hussar Grill, The Pink House – Knead Bakery, Boathouse Sushi, Alberto’s, Mozambik, Lupa Osteria, Kauai and The Creamery peddling their wares, visitors can expect to enjoy anything from salmon to sirloin, coffee to ice cream and everything in between while sipping their favourite wines from the Valley. Tickets cost R400 per person and include a wine tasting glass, wine tasting, parking and nine eatery vouchers. Tickets are available for purchase on Quicket.
