Coming soon: the 2012 Pick n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival Posted on 8 June 2012 Tags:knysna oyster festival The Pick n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival is back! It’s almost that time of the year where the vibrant Oyster Festival hits the Garden Route town of Knysna. This year the festival takes place from 6 to 15 July with all sorts of events for the whole family, the fit and not-so-fit and even the older folk and kids. There’s running, cycling, adventure racing, wine and whiskey tastings, cooking competitions, food and wine pairings, gala evenings, live music, a specialised children’s programme and of course, oysters. Entries for the Big 5 Challenge, the Pick n Pay Weekend Argus Rotary Knysna MTB and Road races and the Pick n Pay Cape Times Knysna Forest Marathon and Half Marathon are unfortunately sold out, but to participate in the other activiteis and oyster shucking, you’d need to book your accommodation fast – you might even be too late! This year the festival hub will be back in the centre of the town at the Knysna High School sports grounds on Waterfront Drive. If you’re heading to the Osyter Festival this year, why not stop in and grab a bite at one of these foodie hotspots in Knysna.
