The Laailou Music Festival is coming to Paarl this November Posted by Jordyn Johnson on 21 October 2022 There’s a new Afrikaans festival on the block! The TopWineRoots Laailou Music Festival is gearing up to give you the most unforgettable day with your friends. With performances from acts like Karlien van Jaarsveld, Corné Pretorius, Janie Bay, Tasché, Ampie, Loki and Margot Rothman, musiekfees is one not to miss. The Berg River Resort in Paarl is the perfect setting for you to arrive armed with your ‘laailous’ and suncream. Spend the day with fabulous people, and enjoy one of the best lineups the Western Cape Festival circuit has to offer. Karlien van Jaarsveld, Janie Bay, Tasché, Ampie, Corné Pretorius, as well as Loki Rothman and Margot Rothman will keep the good vibes going all day. With a 270-radius surround sound, you can watch from your lilo in the water or from your camp chair on the riverbank. Supplied Festival organisers, Corné Pretorius and Wynand de Villiers are thrilled to be hosting their new festival at such an idyllic venue. De Villers says ‘We are confident that the line-up is exceptional, but on top of that, it was important to find a venue that matches the vision of what we are aiming to create.’ The Berg River Resort is the perfect setting: for those who are not in the water, there is shade under ample beautiful old trees. De Villiers also added that they are planning to make the festival an annual event. ‘We are privileged to have so much support for the first edition of the festival, and we are also tremendously grateful for our two major corporate sponsors TopWineRoots and Bok Radio.’ Supplied Date: Saturday 19 November at Berg River Resort, Paarl.
