WB offers to fund alternative Serengeti road Posted on 5 March 2011 I have been watching with interest for some time the developments surrounding the Tanzanian governments plans to build a road through parts of the Serengeti. Having witnessed the majesty of the annual wildebeest migration first hand, I can’t imagine how anyone in their right minds would consider something that could possible jeopardise this incredible wildlife spectacle. Recent developments look promising, with the World Bank offering to fund alternates. Lets hope all parties involved come to their senses! WB offers to fund alternative Serengeti road.
