Vote for Table Mountain and the Kalahari in the New 7 Wonders of Nature Posted on 20 January 2009 Table Mountain and the Kalahari have made it through to the second round of the New 7 Wonders of Nature list. There are now 261 of the original 441 nominees left. One of the criteria for qualification was that the nominated site had an endorsement from an official group within that country. Table Mountain National Park and Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company stepped up to the plate with their support. A tip of the virtual hat to these guys. Table Mountain is the only South African site left on the list and we share the Kalahari nomination with Botswana and Namibia. Let’s hope they can drive this through to Top 77 list in the next round. Actually, go one better than sitting there hoping, crossing fingers and sending ‘like, good vibes Bru…’ and click here to go to The New 7 Wonders website and cast your vote. I’d be interested to know what other five wonders you vote for, drop me your list in a comment below.
