New bush lodge opens in Namibia Posted by Anita Froneman on 21 July 2022 The newly-opened Ohorongo Private Game Reserve lies 300 kilometres north of Windhoek. There are two camps; a lodge with five chalets and a tented camp with five tents. There is a pool, library, and bar; the perfect balance between the peaceful bushveld and lively entertainment. Conservation is key Ohorongo Private Game Reserve is a non-profit organisation dedicated to sustainable conservation in Africa for the last 50 years. It is home to several successfully preserved endangered species such as the black-faced impala, roan, and sable. There is also San rock art to be found nearby. The spot also offers child-friendly adventures, including a bug tour where abounding giant millipedes, colossus beetles, and anthills keep them enthralled.
