Ashford Castle in Ireland is situated in a spectacular 350-acre estate overlooking the blue waters of Lough Corrib. The castle was built by the De Burgo family almost 800 years ago, and has also been the personal home of the Guinness family. It has also hosted countless notables over the years, including The Prince of Wales (who later became King George V) and President Ronald Reagan. Today, the castle turned hotel features a total of 83 bedrooms, 140 hectares of wooded parkland, and even a spa.
