Helicopter ride over Victoria Falls – day three in Livingstone Posted on 5 May 2010 Tags:Zambia The stand out highlight of this trip was the helicopter ride over Victoria Falls this morning. On our second-last day in Zambia we were treated to an exhilirating 15-minute ride over the falls. It’s definitely the best way to see the falls – and it makes for much better pics than the misty close-up shots. I literally took hundreds of photos and I wish I could do the ride again to experience it without being behind my camera. If you ever go to Vic Falls, the helicopter flip is an absolute must. At around $140 for a 15-minute trip, it’s expensive, but so worth it. To end off an amazing day, we went on a gin-and-tonic-fuelled sunset booze cruise down the Zambezi. We spotted hippos and birds and had snacks on an island in the middle of the river, but the best part of the trip was the sunset itself.
