Unusual activity in Norway as a meteor lights up the skyline Posted by Olerato Ramafsi on 24 November 2022 Norway’s skyline was lit up by an unusual meteor on Saturday 19 November 2022. The meteor which is sometimes referred to as a bolide due to its intense brightness could be seen throughout the Southern Norway perimeter. The fireball, caused by the meteor burning up in the atmosphere, was a cause for concern for residents who ended up alerting the local police. The Norwegian Meteorological Institute says the meteor belongs to an unusual shower called the Northern Taurids. Take a look at the video.
