Youngest person to climb all 282 Munro peaks in Scotland is 10 years old Posted by Jordyn Johnson on 24 October 2022 The Munros are the 282 peaks in Scotland that are over 914m high. These peaks were measured and documented by Sir Hugh Munro, president of the Scottish Mountaineering Club in the 1800s. To climb all 282 mountains is now termed ‘Munro bagging,’ according to BBC News. A 10-year-old girl has become one of the youngest climbers to conquer all 282 Munro peaks. With her dad Ian, Quinn Young climbed her first Munro peak, Ben Nevis, at the age of 4 and then decided to complete all peaks before finishing primary school. She carried her own equipment on each hike, including her water, food, and waterproofs, and her dad always made sure they were safe on the climbs. The 10-year-old feels incredibly proud of herself, although a little sad that her adventure with her dad is over.
