Zambia waives tourist visas for some countries Posted by Anita Froneman on 10 October 2022 The Zambia Tourism Authority has announced that tourist visa requirements for certain countries will be scrapped in an effort to attract more visitors. Travellers from the UK, the US, Canada, Norway, Australia, China, South Korea, Gulf Estates and the European Union no longer need to apply for tourist visas as of 1 October, reports Tourism Update. Minister of Tourism, Rodney Sikumba said he expects this move will also attract investors and strengthen relationships between Zambia and the selected countries. The country is especially popular with German tourists, and the German Ambassador to Zambia, Anne Wagner-Mitchell said that the ‘total value of the German-funded programmes and projects being implemented in Zambia amounts to nearly half a billion Euros.’ reports Lusaka Times.
