Two Oceans Aquarium upgrades seal platform at V&A Waterfront Posted by Olerato Ramafsi on 26 September 2022 The Two Oceans Aquarium Education Foundation and the Marine Wildlife Management Programme teamed up with Tandem Cranes to upgrade and repair the seal platform at the V&A Waterfront. These platforms create a comfortable and easily accessible resting spot for the Cape fur seals where they can be easily disentangled from the nooses that they often get ensnared in. Recently, the old seal platform had begun to sink and was no longer working effectively. After three weeks of extensive repairs, the refurbishment is now complete, and the new seal platform is in place.
