Qatar waives quarantine requirement for FIFA World Cup Posted by Anita Froneman on 16 September 2022 International visitors entering Qatar will no longer have to undergo quarantine upon entering the country as of 4 September. The measures were lifted for the 2022 FIFA World held in Qatar from 20 November to 18 December and officials say they are expecting up to 1.5 million visitors, reports Travel News. Travellers from Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, and Sri Lanka were on Qatar’s Red List and previously had to quarantine to avoid the spread of Covid-19. All visitors must still provide a negative PCR test result not older than 48 hours, or a rapid antigen test not older than 24 hours, regardless of vaccination status. This will be the first FIFA World Cup ever held in an Arab country. Picture: Unsplash ALSO READ: WIN!
