Pensioner shoots at couple fishing on Mogol river in Limpopo Posted by Taylah Strauss on 28 April 2022 A couple’s fishing trip on the Mogol river in Rietspruit in Limpopo took a turn for the worst when a 77-year-old man allegedly shot at them on 26 April. The 38-year-old woman sustained a gunshot wound. Her partner managed to remain unharmed and immediately called emergency services. The suspect was arrested for attempted murder, but he claimed he was aiming for a hippo, according to TimesLIVE. During the arrest, police confiscated a revolver, a pistol, two air guns and two rifles. He is expected to appear in Lephalale’s magistrate’s court on 28 April.
