SANParks discovers poacher camp at Cape Point Posted by Anita Froneman on 17 April 2022 SANParks has discovered a camping spot used by abalone poachers in the southern section of Table Mountain National Park in Cape Town on 15 April. ‘The Sea, Air and Mountain (SEAM) Team together with the highly skilled SANParks chopper pilots, located a large active poacher camp within the Cape of Good Hope section of Table Mountain National Park (TMNP), and has recovered diving gear and other equipment used for the illegal harvesting of abalone,’ SANParks said. No arrests have been made yet.
