Camp Figtree Mountain Safari Lodge reopens after five months Posted by Taylah Strauss on 13 April 2022 Situated within the Eastern Cape’s Greater Addo area, Camp Figtree Mountain Safari Lodge has reopened its doors after a break of five months. After a devastating fire in October 2021, the lodge closed its doors to the public and began extensive refurbishment. The main lodge area is now equipped with a state-of-the-art kitchen. The indoor and outdoor dining area has been expanded to accommodate more open-air dining during the warmer months. With spectacular panoramic views of the Zuurberg mountain range, the main camp has been revamped to maximise sunrise and sunset vistas. Management commented: ‘We are beyond excited about the reopening of Camp Figtree Mountain Safari Lodge at a time when hope is high that the Covid-19 challenges, which so adversely affected our industry, are finally behind us. We would like to thank our loyal customers for their unwavering support during this time and our amazing staff who have pulled off creating a beautiful building in record time. We are delighted to report that the lodge will reopen with occupancy levels of over 90%.’ Camp Figtree Mountain Safari Lodge will be offering a special package to kick off the grand opening, valid until 31 May. The package includes a two-night stay for two people in a superior suite, a complimentary guided ranger walk as well as dinner and breakfast for R5 399. For more information, click here.
