Travel the world with Le Petit Chef’s 4D dining experience in Cape Town Posted by Chloe Cowley on 14 March 2022 The Capital 15 on Orange is hosting Cape Town’s first 4D gastronomic entertainment experience by ‘Le Petit Chef’ from 17 March. Le Petit Chef is preparing a six-course meal for diners to feast upon, while their senses will be stimulated by the audio-visual extravaganza. Here’s what to expect: The six-course culinary journey will have guests follow ‘The Footsteps of Marco Polo’ across the diverse mystical regions traversed by the legendary explorer. The menu begins with inspiration from France, with guests being taken in search of the greatest spices that Marco Polo would have encountered along the Silk Road. The Capital, 15 on Orange There will be a holographic miniature guide on your table. The first course will be served in a suitcase after audiences see Le Petit Chef sail away from Marseilles in a boat folded out of paper. The second meal comes in a black box that requires diners to solve a puzzle to open it. The two-hour-long experience will be filled with anticipation, while live music inspired by each location will add even more excitement to the show. Le Petit Chef offers this unusual experience in more than 51 locations worldwide. This meal, however, has been customised specially for his South African audience. The local story is built off the tale of a South African who runs into Le Petit Chef while backpacking in France and becomes his assistant, which eventually brings him home to Cape Town. The #DinnerTimeStories with Le Petit Chef is set to run for at least five shows each week. Guests can enjoy the beauty of the high-definition tabletop while enjoying the interaction of the experience as the meal unfolds.
