Fiji opens borders to vaccinated travellers from December 2021 Posted by Taylah Strauss on 15 November 2021 Fiji aims to adjust their Covid-19 travel restrictions at the end of the year. From 1 December 2021, Fiji will be open to all fully vaccinated travellers. All travellers – aside from travellers under 18 – must produce a Covid-19 vaccination certificate that proves they are fully vaccinated. Accepted vaccines are AstraZeneca, Janssen, Spikevax, and Comirnaty. Travellers are also required to produce a negative Covid-19 PCR test not older than 72 hours. Those exempt from this restriction are passengers younger than 12 years. Travellers arriving from the following countries must have proof of at least three nights pre-paid accommodation: Australia, Canada, Cook Islands, France, French Polynesia, Germany, Japan, Kiribati, Korea Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Palau, Qatar, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Spain, Switzerland, Tonga, Tuvalu, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, USA and Vanuatu. In addition, those travelling from the countries listed must have stayed in those countries at least ten days prior to travelling to Fiji. Travellers who are arriving from a country other than those listed must have proof of a pre-paid stay of at least 10 nights at a Fiji Managed Quarantine facility. In addition, travellers must have health insurance to Covid-19 related expenses – this does not apply to nationals and residents of Fiji. For more information, click here.
