Last chance to backpack the length of Kruger National Park Posted by David Henning on 10 November 2021 An ultimate wilderness trail is on the bucket list for any avid hiker, and today is the last chance to register for the Kruger Trail, which takes you the full length of the national park. To claim your spot on the trail, which will be sold to a group of eight, keen hikers need to buy the first leg of the trail via an annual auction. The group will then have to complete leg 1 before continuing to leg two, where the group will be located dates according to a roster. The online auction for 2022 trails will take place on 17 November 2021 at 7 pm. An auction registration fee of R 15 000 is payable, which will be refunded if your bid is not successful. If your bid is successful it will serve as a non-refundable deposit on Leg 1 of your trial. Once a group has started the trial, they will not be required to bid for subsequent legs. There is a set fee for each leg starting from leg to through to leg 6. To participate or register for the online auction, visit www.thekrugertrail.com or email [email protected]. The closing date for registration is 10 November 2021, so be sure to gather your hiking group promptly.
