Update: Hiker lost in Drakensberg found alive and well Posted by Anita Froneman on 29 October 2021 Adventurer and hiker Johann van Coller, also known as the ‘Barefoot Magic Man’ who had been reported missing in the Drakensberg area earlier this week, has been found. READ: Well-known hiker feared missing in Drakensberg ‘Guess who has just walked into Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge? @barefootmagicman Johann van Coller: healthy with a flat battery on his phone,’ the lodge posted on Facebook. ‘I handed him my phone and told him to phone his mother before I’d allow him through the door,’ the manager added. Van Coller had the whole country was up in arms when he didn’t check in with his team at the agreed-upon date. He is on a solo journey hiking from Cape Agulhas to Mount Kilimanjaro.
