PICTURES: South Africa was blanketed in snow this weekend Posted by Anita Froneman on 30 August 2021 South Africa is a wonderland. A late-winter cold front brought in snow across the country this past weekend and while many were off to experience the magnificent wildflowers, others seized the opportunity to enjoy what is likely the last snow of the season. We truly are split for choice in this beautiful place we call home. Pictures of families, couples and friends having a blast in the icy flakes and smiling from ear flooded social media. Several parts of the country including KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape were covered in white. Sutherland, Worcester, and Ceres received snow as well as Richmond, the KZN Midlands and the southern Drakensberg. Take a look at the pictures residents shared with Storm Report SA on Facebook.
