Vehicle accident in Kruger claims staff member’s life Posted by David Henning on 26 August 2021 South African National Parks (SANParks) reported a vehicle accident at the Kruger National Park, where a staff member was fatally wounded. The accident happened on 25 August 2021, in the morning on the road between Shingwedzi and Mopani Rest Camps in the North. The Saselamani SAPS were called to the scene and are busy with investigations into the circumstances that led to the accident. The Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment, Ms Barbara Creecy extended her heartfelt condolences to the family and colleagues upon being informed of the tragic accident. The Acting CEO, Dr Luthando Dziba added his deepest sympathy to the family and the SANParks colleagues who have lost one of their own. The name of the deceased will be revealed as soon as the next of kin have been notified.
