Paris Hilton and fiancé visit Victoria Falls Posted by Anita Froneman on 14 June 2021 American model and media personality Paris Hilton has joined the likes of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Will Smith on the longer-growing list of international celebrities to visit Victoria Falls. She was seen enjoying the Gorge Swing in Zimbabwe with fiancé Carter Reum and shared a picture on her Instagram story of them at Wild Horizons, saying it’s a “Beautiful Day in Zimbabwe”. Victoria Falls was upgraded to City Status in 2020 and remains a world-famous tourist attraction, but was hard-hit by COVID-19 like many other holiday destinations. Zimbabwe’s Tourism Authority head of Digital Marketing, Godfrey Koti said that Hilton’s visit is a “huge endorsement of Zimbabwe as a safe destination”, reports The Herald. “This can only be a testament that destination Zimbabwe is a safe place. Remember Victoria falls has reached herd immunity and that is something that cannot be done in vain. We would like to thank the Government for pushing it through the Ministry of Health and Child Care, making sure that people are vaccinated,” he added.
