Airlink resumes Joburg to Maseru flights

Posted on 29 March 2021

After halting flights to Lesotho in January, Airlink is due to resume daily scheduled air services between Johannesburg and Maseru today, Monday, March 29.

Airlink changes name to distance from SAA

This follows the easing out of COVID-related travel restrictions between South Africa and Lesotho as well as the reopening of the neighbouring country’s borders.

Airlink’s managing director and CEO, Roger Foster told Southern Africa’s Travel News that “Airlink is looking forward to welcoming customers on to its flights, which provide vital connections supporting trade, business, tourism and family ties between South Africa and the Mountain Kingdom.”

Flight AZ 052 departs from Johannesburg daily at 09h35, arriving in Maseru at 10h35.

Flight AZ 053 departs from Maseru daily at 11h00, arriving in Johannesburg at 12h05.

There is a demand to travel to Lesotho, therefore Airlink is intending to add more flights to the schedule.
