UK bans more countries from entering Posted by Anita Froneman on 17 March 2021 The United Kingdom has added four more countries to their travel ‘red list’. Travellers from Oman, Somalia, Ethiopia and Qatar are now also banned from entering, making it even more difficult for South Africans who could previously still gain entry via connecting flights in those countries. However, Portugal and Mauritius will be removed from England’s red list. According to Business Tech, only British and Irish citizens or those with residency will be allowed access to the country and must stay in a government-approved quarantine facility for 10 days. These restrictions exclude cargo carriers. MORE COUNTRIES ADDED TO THE ‘RED LIST’. From 4am Friday 19 March, travel bans will be in place for visitors from: Ethiopia Oman Qatar Somalia All those who are permitted to enter England from these countries, will have to quarantine for 10 days in a managed quarantine hotel. — Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (@FCDOGovUK) March 15, 2021 Picture: Unsplash Related Posts Cape Town’s sustainability: Leading the way in environmental initiatives 1 June 2023 As National Environmental Month commences in South Africa, Cape Town stands proudly at the forefront... read more Kapama to host Safari Guide of the Year Awards 2023 1 June 2023 Kapama Private Game Reserve near Hoedspruit will host this year’s Safari Guide of the Year... read more Blood Lions relaunches for public viewing on YouTube 1 June 2023 Award-winning documentary feature film Blood Lions has been relaunched on YouTube for public viewing, creating... read more PREV ARTICLE NEXT ARTICLE
