The organisation honours all video content related to the tourism and travel industry. The registration is free and all the films and videos submitted must be produced or released within the last two years. Entries close on March 15. ‘TV ads, promotional films, video campaigns, videos for social media, video blogs, documentaries, reports and TV magazines related to the promotion of tourism destinations, products and services are invited to participate in this exclusive and unique festival on the African Continent,’ ITFFA said on its website. Watch the information video: CIFFT Director Alexander V Kammel said they receive over 3500 films each year. ‘African countries are underrepresented. It is time to show that Africa is full of talented men and women to be presented to the global creative community. This is why CIFFT strongly supports the ITFFA initiative,’ said Kammel according to IOL. Categories range from Tourism Destination Promotion and Tourism Services to History & Heritage and Environment & Ecology. ITFFA co-founder Caroline Ungersbock added: ‘When films are produced in our country, they utilise not only tourism services and related products, but the locations that are used during filming, whether it be for advertising purposes, documentaries or features, are then exposed to both national and international markets that either want to come on vacation, shoot their next production, document their next conservation piece, or shoot their advert.’ To enter your film, click here.
