Harry Potter exhibit to tour the world in 2022 Posted on 15 February 2021 An interactive touring Harry Potter exhibit will open in 2022. Despite the final book being released in July 2007, the franchise has amassed a global following across various generations and is still widely enjoyed 14 years later. The real Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is located in England and is actually Alnwick Castle. This is the second-largest inhabited castle in England. It has been home to the dukes of Northumberland for over 700 years. Whether or not you’ve read all the books and watched all the movies, the magical Wizarding World of Harry Potter is still as intriguing as ever. Now, the franchise is being brought to life, outside of its various theme parks, in an interactive exhibit that will travel the world in 2022. Harry Potter: The Exhibition is currently being developed by Imagine Exhibition in partnership with Warner Bros. The exhibition will essentially run as a behind-the-scenes experience of the most memorable moments from the films and stories of Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts and the extended Wizarding World. ‘Guests get an up-close and personal look at the artistry and craftsmanship that went into creating the iconic props and costumes that appeared throughout the Harry Potter™ films. These authentic artifacts are displayed in elaborate settings inspired by iconic locations from Hogwarts™ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry including the Gryffindor™ common room, Hagrid’s hut and the Great Hall,’ said the official website. The exhibit will visit Africa, the Middle-East, Latin America, and more. Harry Potter: The Exhibition, will be a scalable experience that will delight fans from around the world, the exhibition will have a footprint between 10,000 square feet (929 square meters) up to 20,000 square feet (1,858 square meters), says Imagine Exhibitions. ‘We are honored to be entrusted with the iconic Harry Potter brand and excited to develop and share an exhibition experience that celebrates the magic of the Wizarding World,’ said Tom Zaller, CEO of Imagine Exhibitions. ‘We look forward to working with world-class partners, promoters, and sponsors to bring an all-new Harry Potter: The Exhibition to fans around the globe.’ The initial venue for the all-new Harry Potter: The Exhibition will be announced in the coming months.
