British Airways sells cabin items to public Posted by Anita Froneman on 25 November 2020 British Airways is selling cabin items from its officially retired Boeing 747 to the public. The items include a mix of new and used, First Class, Club World and general items ranging from blankets to tea trolleys and everything in between. The airline is selling its crockery, cutlery and more online. ‘This is an incredible one-off opportunity for people to bring the magic of flying with British Airways into their own homes,’ Carolina Martinoli, British Airways’ director of brand and customer experience said, according to Lonely Planet. ‘We know that these special items will fly, and we are delighted to be able to offer them in time for Christmas to give people the opportunity to make it memorable during a difficult year.’ Your Christmas shopping might set you back a few bucks, though. A single meal trolley is priced £250 (R5,087) but you can also scale it down and buy a tea cup set of six for £8 (R162). After purchasing your cabin items and getting comfy onboard at home, the airline encourages patrons to share snaps of their own ‘First Class’ experience with the #BAathome.
