Ginger, sesame and szechuan in a delicate dance with coconut Hennessy VSOP, shiitake sake, miso, 5-spice syrup and more. Uniquely delicious to say the least! This is the “Popcorn ol’ Fashioned”. We popped this one out at our Old Fashioned movie night event this last Wednesday. 🍿 This concoction belongs to cocktail master, Brent Perremore, who mixed it the spirit of our monthly movie night. It’s a blend of Makers Mark Bourbon, salted caramel popcorn syrup, Orange & Resurrection bitters. Connaught Bar in London has been awarded the world’s number one bar for 2020. ‘Despite relentless challenges this year, these bars have emerged with inspiring resilience, with many advancing in their recovery process. As guests look to start planning their next bar experiences, we hope that this extended list will be a source of inspiration to get people talking about returning to great cocktail bars as soon as they can,’ organiser Mark Sansom said. ‘We were met with the overwhelming response that the industry needed something to talk about. People are starting to go out again, and the message to consumers is that there are wonderful bars and they need to receive your support.’ ‘This isn’t a celebration, but a sober recognition for the bars that have managed to keep going in this difficult time,’ Sansom added. The Top 100 list is compiled by votes from The World’s 50 Best Bars Academy, which comprises more than 540 drinks experts, including renowned bartenders and consultants, drinks writers and cocktail specialists from around the world.
