Sun City celebrates reopening with slick dance moves Posted by Anita Froneman on 4 September 2020 Times are tough, but music and dancing have brought people through the toughest of times. South African artist Master KG has taken the world by storm with his hit song Jerusalema, and the challenge that has gone viral has seen institutions all over the world make videos of them dancing to it. Vacation resort Sun City was not going to be left behind and celebrated their reopening on September 2 with a beautiful video of staff dancing together. ‘Nobody is more excited about Sun City’s reopening than the management and staff, and we fully intend to celebrate the occasion with great offers for visitors,’ General Manager Brett Hoppé told Good Things Guy. ‘There were times during these past few months when our future looked bleak, but along with spring has come new hope for us and for the industry.’ Hoppé added that the staff kept busy during lockdown by providing for the needs of old age homes, hospices, orphanages, disaster and crisis centres and health care centres in the community. ‘I am immensely proud of my staff for the effort they made to improve the lives of those less fortunate – especially at a time when their own livelihoods were at stake,’ he said. Currently, The Palace of the Lost City, Soho and the Sun Vacation Club are open for visitors.
