Lazy lions lounge around Kruger Posted on 16 April 2020 SANParks recently shared images of a pride of lions soaking up some afternoon sunshine within the Kruger National Park. The pride isn’t usually spotted by Kruger visitors as the lions take up residency on Kempiana Contractual Park, explained SANParks in a tweet. On Wednesday 15 March the pride of approximately 13 lions was found by Section Ranger Richard Sowry. The lions, as per usual, were lazily lounging on the tar road. The pride was situated just outside of Orpen Rest Camp. SANParks attributes the sighting of this particular pride to the relative lack of activity within the park during lockdown. Take a look below to see them catching the last bit of sunshine for the day.
