Bird watching in the garden Posted by Anita Froneman on 8 April 2020 As the lockdown is just over halfway, it’s fascinating to see how people are keeping themselves busy. Those not working are finding all kinds of ways to make sure they are occupied. If you’ve seen every movie, gone on every virtual museum tour and streamed every live webcam, it’s time to get off the couch. If you’re a keen bird watcher or plant enthusiast, all you need to do is take a stroll through your garden or look out the window. Chances are, you will see some kind of bird or plant. You might be surprised to find what’s been living in your backyard all along! Share your at-home fauna and flora discoveries with us. We aren’t opposed to the odd bug, lizard or spider either. If you know the name of your animal or plant, let us know. If not, maybe someone else does! A collection of readers’ pictures will be published tomorrow, 9 April at 20h30, so keep an eye out.
