Hotel offers free stays for Valentine’s Day pregnancies Posted on 29 January 2020 A hotel in Canada, with branches in Victoria and Kelowna and another opening on Vancouver Island, is offering an unusual incentive to book a night (or even a four-hour rendezvous, known as a ‘Nooner slot’) on Valentine’s Day 2020. If couples who have booked a slot or night at Hotel Zed on Valentines Day this year welcome a baby into their family nine months later, they’ll get free stays at the hotel each year for 18 years. Hotel Zed CEO Mandy Farmer said she came up with the idea for the Nooner slot (a 10am-2pm booking which can be made on Valentine’s Day annually,) when she had small children and was struggling to find time to spend alone with her husband. For this year’s Valentine’s Day promotion the hotel decided to add ‘a fun twist’. King-size bed in one of Hotel Zed’s rooms. But if you’re serious about expanding your family, why wouldn’t you try?’ Farmer asks. ‘If you succeed, you’ll win a way to celebrate your baby’s conception for the next 18 years,’ Hotel Zed CEO Mandy Farmer told CNN. There have been a variety of responses to the offer on social media, with some users complaining that the baby-making promotion, which launched on 14 January, as ‘shameful and disgusting’. A senior citizen with a good sense of humour, Elaine Campbell-Jansen, responded to the offer on Hotel Zed’s Facebook page with ‘Oh, I would love to do a 4-hour visit if I was 45 years younger. My husband (great grandpa) wants to know what the promo is for the seniors? lol! 4 hours of therapeutic massage…..fit for orthotics…… 😉 Image: Unsplash Related Posts Cape Town’s sustainability: Leading the way in environmental initiatives 1 June 2023 As National Environmental Month commences in South Africa, Cape Town stands proudly at the forefront... read more Kapama to host Safari Guide of the Year Awards 2023 1 June 2023 Kapama Private Game Reserve near Hoedspruit will host this year’s Safari Guide of the Year... read more Blood Lions relaunches for public viewing on YouTube 1 June 2023 Award-winning documentary feature film Blood Lions has been relaunched on YouTube for public viewing, creating... read more PREV ARTICLE NEXT ARTICLE
