Two architects and a dog cruise the Arctic Posted by Anita Froneman on 21 January 2020 Two British architects made news when they took an old life boat, renovated it into a spectacular cruise boat and set out to explore the Arctic waters with their now-equally famous dog, Shackleton. Shackleton certainly liked the hop-on-hop-off possibilities… although he does love our inflatable dinghy, for trips ashore at anchorage! . . #ducktoller #stødig #yellow #lifeboat #vanlife #norway #boatlife #southernnorway #toller #adventurehome @visitnorway A post shared by STØDIG (@arcticlifeboat) on Aug 3, 2019 at 8:13am PDT Guylee Simmonds and David Schnabel departed on their voyage from the UK in May, 2019 and headed for Tromsø, Norway, the largest city in the Arctic. Originally designed to carry 100 people in a survival situation, she is our robust, unsinkable and spacious blank canvas,’ they say.
