Daily visitor limits implemented at Kruger National Park Posted by Anita Froneman on 12 December 2019 Ahead of the festive season, the daily quota system at Kruger National Park will come into effect once again to avoid congestion and limit environmental impact. Dr Bandile Mkhize, executive director of the Park, says he expects a busy December and has asked day visitors to make bookings beforehand. Gate quotas range from 350 to 750 people per gate (based on size and importance of the day) and once a quota has been reached, the gate will be closed and all further guests will be turned away. See the day rates and tariffs for the different camps here and see the day visitor guide here. Advance bookings can be made through Central Reservations on (012) 428 9111, but can also be made by contacting the specific gate or the camp nearest to that gate. Each booking will receive a number, which can be quoted to the gate guard to ensure entrance in the event of the gate being closed prior to your arrival. Always remember to obey the Park’s rules and regulations, be mindful of the environment and appreciate nature in all its glory this festive season!
