British Airways increases flights within SA Posted on 23 July 2019 Tags:Air Travel British Airways (operated by Comair) announced on 23 July, that it will be adding additional flights to its route network from mid-September 2019, which are available for booking with immediate effect. In total, British Airways will operate 34 additional flights a week on routes serviced from Johannesburg, which includes Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth, as well as between Cape Town and Durban. This announcement comes shortly after Comair said that it expects its full-year headline earnings per share to rise by more than 20%. The increase is due in part to a $78 million payment from South African Airways (SAA), which is a portion of the R1.1 billion settlement SAA was ordered to pay, in an antitrust case, in February.
