Heroin seized at CT International Posted on 12 July 2019 An alleged drug dealer was arrested when customs officials at Cape Town International Airport discovered heroin to the value of nearly R1-million in a traveller’s briefcase. “This week’s incident happened when Sars [SA Revenue Service] customs detector dogs uncovered a powdery substance that turned out to be 3.254kg of heroin,” SARS said in a statement. “The heroin was neatly concealed in three packages inside the suspect’s leather briefcase.” The alleged drug dealer is reported to have been on his way to a central European country when the drugs were found.
