SANParks, CapeNature dish out major discounts for winter stays Posted on 2 May 2019 Tags:CapeNature, SANParks, winter special, winter travel CapeNature and SANParks are both giving a 40% discount on accommodation in national parks and reserves this winter. The SANParks special runs from 8 May 2019 to 14 May 2019. The special only applies to new reservations made on its online booking system. The CapeNature special runs from 1 May 2019 to 31 August 2019. In both cases, holiday-makers would need to book, pay and stay within the promotion periods to get the special. Take your mountain bike with you and head out on the 8km route or tackle a hiking trail (these range between 1km and 19km in length). There are five recently renovated self-catering cottages. Some come with outdoor braais, indoor fireplaces and even a jacuzzi. All cottages can accommodate up to eight people. Each lodge offers something unique – a lakeside sundowners deck, a view over the river or a house among the trees. They each sleep between four and six people. It is close enough to the town of Clarens to head there for the day. From hiking to horse riding and abseiling, there is an outdoor activity to keep everyone warm. Not far from the camp is a large dam, perfect to park next to with your rusks and coffee to watch the sunrise.
