BA reduces JNB–London flights Posted on 29 April 2019 British Airways will be reducing the number of flights per week between Johannesburg and London by four from 1 June 2019. Last year the airline increased the number of flights between Heathrow and Oliver Tambo International to 18, but from June there will be 14 weekly flights once more, translating to a total loss of 864 seats. The reason for the change is to meet the increased demand on its London–Mumbai route, after the all flight operations by Indian airline Jet Airways have been ‘temporarily suspended’. British Airways will cut flights BA51 and BA50, and the B787-9 Dreamliner plane on which they are operated will be redeployed between the UK and India. British Airways from 01JUN19 is reducing Johannesburg service from 18 to 14 weekly. Planned service reduction is also in effect in Northern winter 2019 season from 27OCT19 to 28MAR20 — Airlineroute (@Airlineroute) April 24, 2019 Featured image: British Airways Related Posts Cape Town’s sustainability: Leading the way in environmental initiatives 1 June 2023 As National Environmental Month commences in South Africa, Cape Town stands proudly at the forefront... read more Kapama to host Safari Guide of the Year Awards 2023 1 June 2023 Kapama Private Game Reserve near Hoedspruit will host this year’s Safari Guide of the Year... read more Blood Lions relaunches for public viewing on YouTube 1 June 2023 Award-winning documentary feature film Blood Lions has been relaunched on YouTube for public viewing, creating... read more PREV ARTICLE NEXT ARTICLE
