Dive 45m in the world’s deepest pool

Posted on 5 April 2019

Poland will soon boast the world’s deepest swimming pool, in the town of Mszczonow, just outside of Warsaw. The pool will measure 45-m deep and will have underwater caves, overhangs and a glass tunnel running through it that visitors who’d rather stay dry can walk through for an underwater view. The pool has been named ‘Deepspot’.

The pool is currently under construction and requires 1,100 tons of steel to reinforce the structure. Along with the caves and other anemities inside the pool, Deepspot will also have a ‘blue hole’ – an underwater, manmade trench and the deepest part of the pool where the maximum depth of 45m is reached.

The pool will hold 8,000 cubic meters of water and will be a perfect place for scuba divers to train. Both advanced and beginner divers will be accommodated.

The world’s current deepest pool, called Y-40 Deep Joy, can be found in Italy near Venice in the Montegrotto Terme resort area.
