The travelling Sphynx, Bug Naked

Hailed as the Insta-famous elf Sphinx cat that travels the world with her owner, who is the first American woman to captain a giant cruise ship, Bug Naked has become an internet sensation around the world. Kate McCue, owner and mother to Bug Naked, is the Captain for Celebrity Cruises’ new flagship, $1-billion (about R14-billion) Celebrity Edge – one of the most luxurious ships in the world. According to the Telegraph, McCue knew from the tender age of 12 that she wanted to work as a cruise captain and spend her working life at sea. She has spent over 13 years in the industry.

The hairless cat lives a lavish life, strolling around the cruise ship and taking in the sights as she travels.

Bug Naked is well taken care of, receiving weekly baths from her mother. Unlike most other cat breeds, elf Sphynx’s are comfortable in water as they need their owners to remove the oil from their skin.

  She isn’t afraid to dress up or get ready for any occasion.

Bug Naked is always prepared for a candid photoshoot on travels with her mother.

Although many people may see these cats as ugly or strange, McCue and Bug Naked’s close bond shows.

McCue shares that her beloved cat loves to give kisses and is very affectionate.

When she isn’t exploring the sea with her mother, Big Naked is snuggled up at home.
