What do you collect when you travel? Posted on 21 August 2018 Collecting memorabilia while you travel is a way to relive the moment years down the line. While a smell can trigger a memory of a distant country and exotic location, so too can fridge magnets, key chains and postcards. I remember a friend who collected menus from restaurants around the globe. When some restaurants began to display menus on tablets, the stakes of being arrested became too high so she decided to walk away with logo emblazoned napkins and coasters instead. The truth is some people collect the oddest items, so far we’ve come across SIM cards, letter-openers, seashells and small turtles (the ornamental types we hope).
