Photo via The Flash Pack/Lee Thompson Thompson and his colleague Oliver Harvey were given special permission from the Brazil tour board to climb to the top of the statue. “When the opportunity arose to take the world’s first (and so far only) selfie with Jesus, I couldn’t resist,” wrote Thompson, who was in town to cover the World Cup preparations.
