Should I stay or should I go? WeatherSA Apple iOS app Posted on 5 June 2012 The WeatherSA Apple iOS app (supported by the South African Weather Service) puts the forecast in your pocket. The app, which can be customised to your needs, sends reports, storm warnings and more, directly to the device daily. It delivers breaking-news alerts, seven-day countrywide weather, sunrise, sunset and moonrise times as well as hourly and weekly graphs covering rain, wind, temperature, pressure and humidity. A nice touch is having access to an activities page that helps you to plan the best time of day for outdoor adventures. A monthly subscription of US$4,99 (about R30) adds storm tracking, lightning-strike maps, radar animations on storms and animated maps with provincial zoom options. With this app there’s no reason to be caught out by Mother Nature again. Blackberry and Android versions coming soon. Free download from www.weathersa.co.za.
