Kirstenbosch summer sunset concerts 2013 / 2014 Posted on 30 October 2013 We may have to wait longer than most provinces for the reassurance that summer is finally in full swing, but when summer does decide to fall upon Cape Town, then it’s something truly magical. One of the ultimate favourites for spending lazy Sundays enjoying the outdoors without having to endure much exercise still remains the Old Mutual Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts. I mean, what better way to spend the afternoon than spreading out your blanket, sipping on some chilled wine and eating your packed goodies while the sun sets and some of South Africa’s most entertaining musicians take to the stage? The concerts run every Sunday from 24 November through to 6 April next year. There are also some extra Christmas carol shows thrown in during the festive time to get you jolly. Most tastes are catered for, so you can expect the likes of Francois van Coke and Jack Parow, but also Johnny Clegg, Jeremy Loops, The Parlotones and Goldfish. So go ahead and start planning your summer in Cape Town! While you’re at it, check out these 50 amazing picnic spots around South Africa Prices range between R5 and R145 for adults.
